Our eggs are our flagship item and we are so proud that they are preferred by our friends, professional bakers and chefs. Sold never more than five days old, eggs of this quality simply aren’t sold in supermarkets, who can and do sell eggs that are weeks or even months old.
Our eggs are hand-gathered from hens who are outside all day, feeling sunshine on their backs as they hunt for bugs. They thrive on the locally-milled layer ration that is grain based with neither animal products, hormones nor antibiotics included.
We enjoy our Welsummer layer flock so much. It is a rare and heritage breed that sustained families many decades ago; and while we ourselves are grandparents, these are the breeds our grandmothers raised.
Our grandmothers grew up in an era when hens weren’t sold off as “spent” when they were two years old. Our grandmothers were frugal and needed every egg produced. Today we are especially attached to our older hens who continue to be productive members of our farm. Their “grandmother eggs” are huge; larger than jumbo and with a high quality deep orange yolk that stands tall in the pan with an amount of egg white sure to thrill the serious baker.
All our eggs are sold as mixed and unclassified. Our dark brown speckled eggs possess a flavor and freshness unmatched by any eggs available in supermarkets today.

What is Pastured Poultry? Pastured poultry are chickens living directly on pasture. With smaller groupings, constant access to green grass, fresh air and lots of sunshine our girls enjoy a quality of life unknown to most birds raised in the United States. The all-natural and humane elements of how we treat our birds result in eggs with higher Omega-3 fatty acids and Vitamin A, with a reduction of the total fat content. Best of all, these eggs have excellent texture and taste. Our eggs are extra large and very hearty - making them perfect for cooking breakfast, or as a part of your baking projects! |
